ONLINE CARNATIC MUSIC LESSONS: K.S. Resmi has 26 years of professional teaching experience with 15 years online and 35 years of continuous study of Carnatic music. Many of her students have won numerous national & international competitions. She earned her BA and MA degrees in South Indian classical vocal music performance at the University of Kerala in India. Resmi taught Carnatic vocal music at the University of Madras as a full-time tenured faculty member of the Department of Indian Music from 2004-2007. Resmi was the first teacher ever to pioneer teaching Carnatic vocal music online internationally. Openings for students are now available for study of authentic Carnatic vocal, Kathakali padams, bhajans, Carnatic Malayalam Christian devotionals, film songs, and Sikh shabad (languages – Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Sanskrit, English). Private & group classes at Baltimore County/Maryland USA location & online lessons available. K.S. Resmi is an expert and professional teacher of authentic Carnatic music lessons with a step by step program covering all the basics to advanced taught in the proper traditional manner. All online students participate in online concerts. All students can participate in the Annual Winter, Spring & Summer Carnatic music recitals.

K.S. Resmi is the founder of KARMA, Inc. (Karnatic Music America, Inc.), a soon to be 501 (c) (3) non-profit arts/culture organization centered in the Baltimore, MD area that operates throughout the USA in support of Indian classical musics.
